Five people were arrested as a result of an investigation about theft and cheating at an Osceola casino that lasted one week and was conducted by the Division of Criminal Investigation. The arrests were made after DCI gaming agents suspected that a casino dealer at Terrible’s Lakeside Casino in Osceola had been working with patrons to cheat in Mini Baccarat.
The agents were able to determine that 22-year-old Larry Shephard had misplayed hands switching cards, exposing cards and also paying losing hands. He paid out over $12,000 in casino money after the review of the surveillance video was made.
Shepherd admitted what he had done to the agents while they questioned him. Therefore, he and another four people were arrested. The arrests included:
LARRY SHEPHERD, 22 years old. Charged with: Theft 1st Degree & 1 Count Cheating at a Gambling Game.
AN NGOC VO, 40 years old. Charged with: Theft 2nd Degree & 1 Count Cheating at a Gambling Game.
PHUOC THANH HO, 33 years old. Charged with: Theft 2nd Degree & 1 Count Cheating at a Gambling Game.
NAM L. DAM, 30 years old. Charged with: Theft 2nd Degree & 1 Count Cheating at a Gambling Game.
OANH OANH NGOC NGUYEN, 36 years old. Charged with: Theft 3rd Degree & 1 Count Cheating at a Gambling Game.
