The final episode of "CSI's" fifth season, a two-hour extravaganza directed by Quentin Tarantino, has inspired a wealth of original content unavailable anywhere but on www.CBS.com.

The truck in question is the Mobile Analysis Unit, a new forensics vehicle designed by sponsor GMC specifically for "CSI," and starting Monday, fans can go online to join "CSI" co-star George Eads for a tour.

More than 14m Europeans, or 14 per cent of those online from home, visited a gambling and sweepstakes site in February, according to the latest statistics from internet research firm Nielsen Net Ratings.

At the hiring office for the new Wynn Resorts Ltd. casino in Las Vegas, parking lot attendants carry flashlights to direct applicants like jets on a busy runway. Arte Nathan, Wynn's human resources chief, says he has 108,700 applications for 10,000 jobs. Two thousand offers have gone out to employees of rival casino operator MGM Mirage Inc., which has banned Nathan from setting foot on its properties.

The hiring boom is just the latest salvo in what's shaping up to be the biggest casino war Sin City has ever seen. On Apr. 28 industry legend Stephen A. Wynn will open the first new resort in five years on the Las Vegas Strip.

Could Village be the first carlise casino

Owner of the Village nightclub building, Ged Crooks, told the News &Star that a company in Manchester is interested in turning it into a casino after the club closed six months ago due to mounting debts.

He said: “They have had a look but nothing is categorical.

“The building would lend itself well to becoming a casino.”

Mr Crooks expects to take control of the building back ‘imminently’ after his tenant Stephen Milligan put his company SM Leisure into the hands of administrators following the closure of the Lonsdale Street club.
